How we started

A bunch of young, enthusiastic pals in their college era came to know about the condition of marginalised and underprivileged children and took an oath to help them at every small step of theirs.

Hearing about our initiative, our beloved Nitu Mukherjee stood by us. With his support, our journey began in 2016. To honour his unforgettable support, we named this organisation Nitu Mukherjee Foundation after him.

After quite a long journey, today we boast a community consisting of more than 100 students, a handful of alumni, a family of more than 30 volunteers and our beloved donors.

Our activities include annual book distribution events, year-long educational assistance (Shiksha Sanjeevanee), Boards preparation, Mock tests, Career Camp and many more. Simultaneously, we are participating in Project Hattimatim Tim, an open-source collection of educational contents: reading materials, toys, puzzles & teasers, teaching manuals and counting.

Our Mantra

Where there is right education in the brain, there is righteousness in the heart. Where there is righteousness in the heart, there is beauty in the character. Where there is beauty in the character, there is harmony in the home. Where there is harmony in the home, there is order in the nation. Where there is order in the nation, there is peace in the world.
