Welcome to the NMF!
All of it started with a bunch of young, enthusiastic students who came to know the condition of
marginalised children during their college days and started an initiative to improve their situation.
After quite a long journey, today we boast a community consisting of more than 100 students, a handful of alumni,
a family of more than 30 volunteers and our beloved donors.
Our activities include annual book distribution events, year-long educational assistance (Shiksha Sanjeevanee), Boards preparation,
Mock tests, Career Camp and many more. Simultaneously, we are participating in Project Hattimatim Tim, an open-source collection
of educational contents: reading materials, toys, puzzles & teasers, teaching manuals and counting.
What's New
Team NMF kick-started the year-long trademark event, called Shiksha Sanjeevanee, under which
we aim at reaching out to those socially underprivileged via quality education while fostering the
joy of learning! Under the SS project, students can access the NMF "library" for a year and use the text-books.
Additionally, NMF's annual day cum book distribution ceremony commenced on February 9, 2025. Children along with us
participated in cracking a "history mystery", painting their heart out, drawing comics and creating stories, science demonstrations,
and many more events!
What Just Happened
NMF carried out a 5 day-long career awareness camp with local students studying in grade 7, 8 and 9. The focus was strongly on hands-on exploration, focal group activities and discussions and having fun - a lot of it! A brief report will be made available soon.
